The hotel is in a great location, close to the river and perfect for dog walks. the rooms are comfortable and some even have balconies with a nice view of the river and park. the staff is friendly and pleasant, making you feel at home. the restaurant serves delicious food and there are also other dining options within walking distance.
The hotel lacks some amenities like free wifi in the rooms and tea-making facilities.

Location, space, polite staff, prices.
Some information in English would help.

reception staff very polite. at time of booking in and out one of the two staff on duty spoke good english. room comfortable and clean. first impressions were good.
restaurant staff spoke no English, menu was only in French, service was slow and poor. waiter forgot our water and when he did bring it his hand was over the top of the container (what happenened to basic hygiene training?)

We really enjoyed our room with a view of the river and the nearby restaurant, Pinocchio, was a great dining option just a short walk away.

Rapid check-in & out. A quiet location overlooking the river.
Pity the room did not have air conditioning!

It's a reasonable base for one night. Just a walk down to Cathedrale Notre Dame.

Great location with a scenic river walk. Small rooms but nice deck and bathroom. Comfy beds and close to town center and restaurants. Beautifully set out with a fabulous deck and adjacent bar. Lovely town and worth a visit.

View of the river from the apartment. Free WiFi. Free parking although limited spaces. Within easy walking distance of town.
Although room had tv would have appreciated a channel like bbc News is provided by many of the French hotel chains.

The hotel is located in a great spot, with a beautiful walk along the river. The rooms are small but have a nice deck and a spacious bathroom. The beds were comfortable and provided a good night's sleep. The hotel is close to the town center and great restaurants, providing easy access to delicious meals.
There were a few aspects that I did not enjoy about my stay at this hotel. there were no tea making facilities, which was a letdown for someone who enjoys a hot cup of tea in the morning.

The hotel's situation. Friendly reception staff. Good food.
A little faded, due for a refurb.

A comfortable, friendly hotel, located in a pretty and interesting town. The hotel had a restaurant but as there were plenty of eating places around we chose to eat by the river. We were travelling with a pet (cat) and the hotel was accommodating. Staff were friendly and helpful
We had planned to stay for breakfast but there was little on offer and at 7.50 euros each we decided not to bother.

Dax is a lovely town. It is full of character. A good place for travelling around and near to the coast.
The hotel we think needs updating. It is in some need of a facelift!

Looks outside like a travelodge but inside like a 4 star hotel. Very deceptive.Very clean, lovely staff , good English spoken. Note that the restaurant is closed on weekends. Its really a business hotel but still up there with the best on room accommodation. Chosen for the weekend rate and its 45 mins from St. Malo ferry.
